The research program was started in December 2009 with over 80 participants divided in three different groups: Laughter Yoga, Music Therapy, and a control group.

Dr. Tetsuya Ohira’s team is measuring the participants blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), salivary cortisol, heart rate variablity, and other cardiovascular risk factors including lipid and HbA1c before the intervention.

The same variables will also be measured after a new intervention after 3-months (which is very soon).

We’ll post the results here as soon as we hear more.

Well done Prof. Ohira and all Laughter professionals from Japan! This is another landmark research in the field of Laughter Yoga.

Where is Osaka, Japan?
